Springwood is the hub of the mid Mountains, lower and a good deal milder than Katoomba, and its established, leafy streets are part of what people love about living here. Many blocks are larger and gentler than up top, but they back onto bushland — gullies like Sassafras and the reserves around Magdala Creek are never far away — and that shapes how we approach a garden here.

With so many bush-backed homes, a lot of our Springwood work is ongoing rather than one-off: regular garden maintenance, hedge and shrub trimming, lawn care, tree and canopy management, and keeping gutters and yards clear as fire season approaches. Mature eucalypts drop a lot of leaf and limb, so staying on top of it matters both for looks and for safety.

We also do plenty of full builds around Springwood — reworking tired established gardens, adding paving and entertaining areas, laying new turf and building the odd retaining wall where blocks do fall away. Because the soil and light here are kinder than the upper Mountains, there’s more room to plant generously, and we make the most of it with layered, low-fuss gardens that suit family homes.
